Friendship is not only clicking on a button. It is built on knowing someone very well after being kind to each other for a long time. What many call friendship is more like popularity votes. What do you really know about these hundreds of people? I am not in the FB age. We can be friendly to begin with.

Friendship is more about knowing what people think, how they feel, what are their values, what they love, what are their goals in life. A mix of all that and not just a list of informative facts. Would you accept not doing something you like if a friend needs you ? Did you meet these people in real life ?
