I am married with 4 kids and work as a Network Solutions Architect for a large cybersecurity technology vendor. I enjoy all things computer and technology related and tinker around quite a bit with my Linux servers and home network. I also play in a local Adult Hockey League to at least get some form of exercise outside of the office. I started playing chess in grade school when I was about 10 years old. I got involved in the school club and learned a great deal from the coaches we had, one of which held a master rating for many years. I played actively in tournaments up to High School and was a US Chess Federation member during that time. My memory was vague, so I went onto the US Chess Federation's website and found my old stats, amazingly! My last known ranking was at 1260 in November of 1987 before I stopped playing in tournaments and let my membership lapse. I think that was adjusted, at some point, to account for a change to the way ratings are calculated because last I remembered I was around 890.
