I think I started playing chess when I was about 7yrs old. My dad use to play back when he was in the Navy. Told me thats what he mainly did to kill time. Told me that he was rated back then (2200+). Now I know why I have never beat him....not even come close. Anyhow, alittle more about me. I was on the chess team in high school and got in one tourny. Got my butt kicked because I tried to use the fools mate on  some little tiny asian kid. I figured he don't know this tactic....... boy was I wrong. He countered it and check mated me in i think 13 moves. Anyway I guess now(20yrs later), I just play for fun.... but put allot of thinking into it.
